Juniors...

Juniors and their parents should plan to attend the College Fairs in the fall as well as visit colleges in the spring and summer.  Look at college websites to find out when they are hosting "Junior Days" so you can visit on that day.

Juniors...look below to see the College Visits you can attend this semester!

Each Junior will meet with Miss Noffze during second semester to start the college decision and application process.

ALL Juniors should register to take the ACT or SAT exam between March and June.

Facts to Consider:

ALL colleges across the USA accept the ACT exam!

(some will require the Writing section)

You do not have to take both the ACT & SAT.

ALL Colorado colleges prefer the ACT (no Writing section needed).

During Junior year,  it is important that you perform to your highest ability in your classes.  Begin studying or looking at ACT and SAT test examples so you will do well on one of those tests.

Parents, if this is your oldest or only child and you are new to the college planning & college application process, please consider making an appointment with Ms. Noffze before January 31 or after April 20 so we can discuss the details specific to your child and family.

Seniors...

Each Senior have meet with Miss Noffze 3-4 times during first semester.

Additional meetings will take place throughout second semester to ensure the path to college is fairly smooth.  Come ready to talk about college acceptance letters, financial aid packages offered to you, transcript needs, and any additional questions.

Recommendation letters: Please have your Biographical Information page completed and a copy printed to give to the teachers or coaches whom you've asked to write letters for you. The Biographical Info helps them to write a well presented letter about you.

Transcript Requests: Please allow 7-10 business days to fill your request.. If it is an emergency, remember that $5 must accompany each request.

Be sure to provide a correct address for mailing.  Please fill out the Transcript Request form and give it to Ms. Noffze or Ms. Lietzau, the Registrar.

FINAL Transcript Request forms will be given to Seniors the second/third week of May and must be returned to Ms. Noffze so we can send an eight semester transcript to your selected college.

Download the FAFSA draft form from the right side of this page to begin working on the information needed January 1, 2012.  See the December newsletter for more specific information.

Check your college Deadline for the FAFSA!!!  The majority of colleges have March 1 as their deadline for completing the FAFSA.
