Shadow Day: Opens September 9th
8th graders: Come step into the life of a high schooler for the day! This is a great opportunity for prospective students to see LuHi first hand. Students will attend classes with a LuHi student ambassador, meet future teachers, and see the LuHi culture up close. Shadow days are also a great way to get more comfortable with what it means to be a high school student. Usually, after a shadow day, prospective students leave with a strong sense if LuHi is the right fit for them or not. It can be a great clarifying experience for students with many great high school options! Perspective families! Mark you calendars for these admissions specific dates.

7th & 8th Grade Preview Day: September 18th
If you are a 7th or 8th grader, RSVP for Preview Day! This is a high energy, fun-filled day to meet future classmates, teachers, and coaches. Prospective students will learn about our athletic, academic, and performing arts programs in a unique way. Students will also gain a better understanding of LuHi culture and leave with an excitement to start high school.
While students are enjoying various activities, parents are invited to stay for a special Q&A Session with our Executive Director, Dan Gehrke. Parents, bring your list of questions about LuHi and high school. No question is too big or small - Dan is happy to address any concern you may have.

Fall Open House: October 27th
Our Open House is a great way to meet teachers, coaches, and staff! This event is open to any family, no matter your student’s age. During this event, parents and students can ask their specific questions about high school. Every teacher is present on campus, ready to answer department-specific questions. All our coaches are also available to chat about opportunities in their programs. Students interested in theater or clubs can also gain valuable information.
The evening starts with a message from Dan Gehrke then families break out to explore campus and meet LuHi staff. Current families will also be available to share their LuHi experience with you. If you aren’t sure where to start in your high school hunt, the LuHi Open House is a great place to start.

Q&A with Dan Gehrke: November 10th
Parents: do you have questions about LuHi? Our Executive Director is ready to answer whatever questions you can throw at him. Bring your hard, big picture questions. Bring your culture questions. Bring your questions about what to look for in a high school. Bring your questions about what really matters for student success.
If you aren’t sold on Lutheran High for your student, this is a great opportunity to gain extra clarification about what LuHi offers. Parents leave with a strong understanding of whether LuHi is a good fit or not for their student.

Tour: Any weekday school is in session
Schedule your personal tour of LuHi! We’d be more than happy to go show you around the school and answer any questions you may have! All tours are one on one with an Admissions Counselor. Students are encouraged to come with parents on the tour, so feel free to bring your whole family!

Application: Opens September 1st
8th graders: Apply to be a future lion! Our admissions process includes an application, an original essay, recommendation forms from teachers, a placement test, and a transcript. Students are considered for acceptance on a first come basis. When they complete their admission file, they are notified of their acceptance. Our Admissions Team is here to help every step of the way to clarify and simplify the process. Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions!
