This class will cover various issues facing young men today. Topics will be analyzed and discussed from a Biblical perspective as we search for solutions to the many challenges and situations that teenagers encounter.

This course is designed to motivate students to want the fullness of life God has designed for us in our total person. This course analyzes many of the decisions that affect the total person from the spiritual to the mental, emotional, physical, and social aspects of our being.

Team Strength

Teacher: Kelsey Bockelman
Course Purpose:
Team Strength is a course intended to assist the athlete in making valuable gains in strength, power, speed, agility, and aerobic conditioning. The main goal of the class is to help each individual athlete be the best prepared for their respective sport, whether in season or out of season. On top of athletic improvements, the class also emphasizes the promotion of team chemistry and athletes can grow both metaphorically and physically with their teammates.

Course Objectives

  • Improve motor skills and coordination
  • Improve muscle strength and power
  • Improve speed and agility
  • Develop more aerobic capacity
  • Foster team chemistry
  • Learn movements and lifts that will be emphasized at the collegiate athletic level
  • Become a better athlete
  • Learn the value of hard work and weight room etiquette
  • Develop flexibility
  • Learn safe and healthy lifting techniques for various lifts

Women's Christian Decisions

Teacher: Alicia Kidston
Course Purpose:
This course will develop a Christian perspective on human sexuality, as well as being a Christian woman, in the confines of the Christian classroom. The subject matter discussed is of a sensitive nature and important to the health and decision making process of young adulthood. All material discussed is taught in light of the beliefs and doctrines of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Various controversial topics may be discussed which are not options in the Christian faith. Discussion of such topics is always used to re-emphasize God’s plan for our sexual lives has solid merit for our safety and long-term happiness.
