10th Grade Course Selection | Email from Jan 20, 2026

Here’s how course selection will work:

This week, Mrs. Homami (10th Grade Academic Advisor) and I will meet with all freshmen during their Theology 1 class to choose courses for sophomore year. During this time, students will:

  • View a presentation to help them choose the right classes for next year
  • Complete the 2026-2027 Course Selection Google Form
  • Receive a copy of the course selections in their LuHi student email after the presentation

Parents — this is where you come in!

  • Please open “Course Selection Instructions” for step-by-step directions on how to enter course requests in FACTS. You will use your student’s course selection information to input their requests for next year. Please ask them to review their courses with you or send you a screenshot of their courses.
  • Please review each section carefully so you have all the details needed before entering selections in FACTS.
  • The deadline to input the course into FACTS is Monday January 26 at 11:59pm. If you do not input them into FACTS, no worries! I will do it. We want parents to put them into FACTS so they have a chance to review their students courses before we meet with them.
  • If you have not used FACTS before or need to reset your password, please click “Forgot Password” to create a new one. (Only parents have FACTS accounts.) For help with your FACTS account, please email jillian.lietzau@lhsparker.org

Course Review Meetings:

Mrs. Homami and I will meet with each student individually between January 26 – March 13 to:

  • Confirm they are enrolled in the correct courses
  • Review recommendations for regular VS honors classes. Current teachers submit recommendations for each student for: Math, English, Social Sciences, and Science. Teacher recommendations and grades are heavily weighed when discussing honors classes.
  • Make sure graduation credits are on track
  • Discuss ideas about post high school plans

2026-2027 Re-Enrollment Questions:

  • Course selection is different than re-enrollment.
  • The re-enrollment has changed for next year. All students will automatically be re-enrolled. Please read more about this on our website: LuHi Re-Enrollment

Thank you so much for your help and support with this process!

With Joy,

Mrs. Barton and Mrs. Homami
