2026-2027 Choirs, Bands, and Praise Band Audition Information | Email from March 26, 2026

Hello Lutheran High Students,

 

We want to invite you to be a part of one of the music ensembles at Lutheran High School for the 2026-2027 school year. The choirs, bands, and praise bands of LuHi are an excellent place to use the gifts and talents that God has blessed you with to glorify him. They are also a great place to learn about God’s gift of music and maybe even give something new a try.

 

Audition information and signups are now available for choirs, bands, and praise band. Information for each audition is linked below and can be found by clicking on the group title. There is also information for our non-audition groups as well. Please be sure to read all information and sign up for the appropriate audition times as needed:

 

LuHi Choirs

Jubilate Choir - (only for incoming sophomores through seniors) Auditioned, mixed choir open to incoming sophomores through seniors. Jubilate is a class that meets during the school day.

 

Bella Voce - (Incoming freshman auditions for Bella Voce will take place in the fall) Auditioned, women’s choir open to incoming freshman through senior females. Bella Voce meets on Tuesday mornings from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM as an extra-curricular activity. 

 

Bel Canto - Non-auditioned, women’s choir open to incoming freshmen through senior females. Bel Canto is a class that meets during the school day. You can sign up for Bel Canto on your course selection form or by contacting your guidance counselor. More information in the link. 

 

Men’s Choir - Non-auditioned, men’s choir open to incoming freshmen through senior males. Men’s Choir is a class that meets during the school day. You can sign up for Men’s Choir on your course selection form or by contacting your guidance counselor. More information in the link. 

 

LuHi Instrumentals

Wind Ensemble - Auditioned band consisting of brass, woodwinds, percussion, and strings. Wind Ensemble is a class that meets during the school day and is open to incoming freshmen through senior students.

 

Concert Ensemble - Non-auditioned, band consisting of brass, woodwinds, percussion, and strings. Concert Ensemble is a class that meets during the school day and is open to incoming freshmen through senior students. You can sign up for Concert Ensemble on your course selection form or by contacting your guidance counselor. Look for the Concert Band class on the course selection form. Praise Band

Chapel Praise Band - Praise band plays for chapel on a regular basis and consists of vocalists, acoustic guitars, electric guitars, keys, bass guitar, and drums. Incoming freshmen through senior students can audition for the group. Students that are currently in the praise band need to audition again if they are interested in being in the group for the 2026-2027 school year.
