As a student in an AP class at LuHi, you have the opportunity to take the AP exam in May for a fee of $100. (Other AP exams are available to LuHi Juniors and Seniors if the student will independently study for that subject.)
Return this form and your check (or cash) with a parent signature (required if you are choosing to NOT take the test) to Mrs. Fair by Tuesday, October 13th or sooner.
If you choose to add a test after October 13th, there will be a late fee of $40. Once your order is placed, there is a $40 cancellation fee.
The AP testing will take place May 3-14, 2027, off campus. Please pay attention to information provided closer to the test dates that will include your location and arrival time.
Steps for ALL AP students:
Step 1: Login to your College Board account at: https://myap.collegeboard.org
Enter the JOIN CODE for all AP classes you are currently enrolled in at LuHi- whether you are taking the test or not.
Step 2: Fill out the attached form indicating whether or not you will take the AP test this year. Get your parent signature to confirm your desire to test or not.
Step 3: Turn in your form to Mrs. Fair (not your AP teacher!). If you are taking AP test(s), include $100 (cash or check) for each test you will be taking. Note: There will be a late fee of $40 for tests ordered after October 13th.
Advanced Placement Testing at LuHi
Calculus AB & BC (Monday, May 10th 8 AM): HYBRID A 3 hour and 10 minute exam covers topics typically included in an introductory Calculus I college course. This requires an understanding of common topics and graphing calculator use. There are multiple choice questions as well as a free response question; both of these contain parts where calculator use is required and parts where calculator use is prohibited.

English Language (Wednesday, May 12th 8 AM): DIGITAL ONLY A 3 hour 15 minute exam covers a full year of an introductory college course. There is multiple choice as well as 120 minutes of free response questions. It tests students’ skills in analyzing prose passages, and asks them to demonstrate their skill in composition by writing essays in various rhetorical modes. JOIN CODE: J4Z2EX
English Literature (Wednesday, May 5th 8 AM): DIGITAL ONLY A 3 hour exam covers a full year of an introductory college course. There is multiple choice as well as 120 minutes of free response questions. It tests students’ skills in analyzing selected poems and prose passages, and their ability to write critical or analytical essays based on poems, prose passages, novels, and plays.

US History (Friday, May 7th 8 AM): DIGITAL ONLY A 3 hour and 15 minute exam covers a full year of an introductory college course. There is multiple choice as well as a 15 minute reading period, a 45 minute document-based question (dbq), and two 35 minute essays chosen from several options. The exam covers political institutions, behavior and public policy; social change and cultural and intellectual developments; diplomacy and international relations; and economic developments.

US Government & Politics (Tuesday, May 4th 12 PM): DIGITAL ONLY The AP U.S. Government and Politics Exam assesses student understanding of the disciplinary practices and learning objectives outlined in the course framework. The exam is 3 hours long and includes 55 multiple-choice questions and 4 free-response questions. The exam assesses content from the five big ideas for the course: Constitutionalism, Liberty and Order, Participation in a Representative Democracy, Competing Policy-Making Interests & Methods of Political Analysis.

AP Seminar (Monday, May 10th 12 PM): DIGITAL ONLY The AP Seminar assessment consists of three parts: two performance tasks submitted through the AP Digital Portfolio and the end-of-course AP Exam. The end-of-course exam is a fully digital exam in the Bluebook testing app and all student responses are automatically submitted at the end of the exam. All parts measure student achievement of the course learning objectives.
