Picture/Baby Tribute Ads in the Back of the Book. Typically, about 80% of parents buy one of these for their senior.

Hello Parents of Seniors at Lutheran High School,

Picture/Baby Tribute Ads in the Back of the Book:
Typically, about 80% of parents buy one of these for their senior. In the past I had these submitted at the same time as senior portraits. This year, however, you'll submit and design everything related to the baby ad straight through the Josten's website. All that information can be found here: https://www.jostens.com/apps/jcom/router.mvc?affiliateId=1307023  Once there, click on "Yearbook Ads SHOP", then "create a student ad".  Next, sign up, and watch a few videos to get started! Feel free to start collecting your favorite baby pics.
NOTE: buying a baby ad is a way for parents to say something nice to their student. The Due date for the least expensive ads is 11/9/24. You will be able to submit baby ads later, but the price goes up after 11/9/24.

See attached ad for more info!

If you would like to purchase a business ad for your company, you may use the same link as above, but click on "create a business ad" instead of a student ad.

If you have questions, please reply to this email.

Also, just a reminder about Senior Portraits:

Historically, when a student becomes a senior they have a professional photo session with a professional photographer. The photos are used for various things throughout the year, the main one being their portrait in the yearbook that comes out in the Spring. A professional photographer can feel expensive, but definitely worth it in my opinion. However there are other options. If you are having a portrait session with a professional: This is good. You'll be happy you did. Oftentimes they will send the image directly to me. I will return an email confirming it was received. If you do not wish to hire a photographer:This is okay too. It is 2024 (almost), after all, and the digital age is booming. You are welcome to take your own, just please follow protocol. However, if you're thinking of taking it with your phone... it's probably better that you don't. Keep reading  If you don't want to mess with it:Let me know and we'll make sure to get a nice picture of your student this Fall during school. We do have some talented student photographers on staff who will take the photos of students who need them; you could just opt for that. If we hear nothing from you after the due date, we'll assume that's what you want.

Requirements for Photos:
In order to avoid snags and keep clean uniformity, please make sure your portrait meets the following criteria:

  • digital file, jpeg file

  • high resolution ( at least 900kb)

  • Basic frontal (head and shoulders), vertical, 4 x 6

  • No props, pets or hats etc..
  • Full color (no black and white)
  • In Dress Code

Due Date:
All photos must be submitted no later than Friday, October 10th, 2025It's earlier than you might think. I can explain why if you want. Please mark it on your calendar. Email if you have questions.

How to Submit Your Photo:

1. Email me the photo as an attachment. yearbook@lhsparker.org (make sure if using your phone that the resolution is high enough)
- Make sure to name it "LAST NAME, FIRST NAME"
Thanks for reading all this. Don't delete it. I will be sending the exact same information 2 more times before the October deadline . If we still have heard no response we'll be making phone calls and/or pulling your senior out of class to see what's going on. Hopefully it doesn't come to that but we do aim to have every senior represented and looking Lion sharp!

Thank you,

Mark Hollenbeck
