Class of 2027 Senior Retreat Invitation | Email from Aug 13, 2026

This year the senior class has a wonderful opportunity to grow as a class and in their relationship with God. The senior class will spend Sunday, September 20 at the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park for a class retreat. The retreat will include Bible study, outdoor activities, food, hiking, and other opportunities to bond as a class. Our hope is everyone in the senior class will be able to attend.

Our Bible study and time of worship will center around the uniqueness of senior year, encouraging you as a community in the body of Christ.

Activity Opportunities (10:00AM, 1:00PM, and 3:00PM) - There will be 3 activity sessions in which you can participate in mini golf, volleyball, pickleball, tennis, Gaga Ball and more. We are also offering the opportunity for archery and the climbing wall for which there is an additional cost of $12 each. There are limited spots for some of these activities, so it will be on a first come first serve basis. YMCA of the Rockies offers many recreational opportunities. The activities offered include indoor and outdoor basketball, volleyball, disc golf, roller-skating, a game room (pool table, ping pong, foosball), hiking trails, fishing and more!

Cost - The cost for each student will be $125. This covers building rental, meals, snacks, and transportation. There is an additional cost of $12 for each for Wall Climbing and Archery. If you sign up for an activity with a $12 cost, this will be charged when you sign up for activities. Since we try to run the retreat at cost, there will be no refunds.

*If the cost is an issue, please contact Mr. Vanderhyde about receiving assistance. We do not want the cost to be an obstacle to anyone’s attendance. We would love to have every student attend.

Waiver Form - As part of the Senior Retreat registration process you will need to sign the LuHi waiver that will be emailed to you.

Chaperones - We will have male and female faculty/staff who will chaperone.

Meals - Meals will be served by the YMCA Cafeteria. Any dietary needs can be addressed to the YMCA staff on arrival to the cafeteria for each meal. They are typically able to accommodate. If you are leery of trusting this process, please plan accordingly.

Transportation - Transportation will be provided by charter bus. We will meet at Lutheran High School on Sunday, September 20 at 7:15 AM and will be back to Lutheran High School by 9:30 PM.
