Homecoming Week Dress Code

Happy Homecoming Week!

Homecoming Week = All-in! - We are so excited for our 2025 Homecoming Week! If you haven’t started already, thanks for considering what you will be wearing each day of the week to support and earn points for your grade level and show your LuHi school spirit!

It’s always a temptation for weeks like this to skip the theme for the day and not be in dress code either. We want to do better than that! Our favorite option is for all students to be excited, engaged, and participating in each day’s theme. We do ask students who will not be participating to be in our regular dress code. We don’t want to live in the in-between world of doing neither or stretching themes just to wear what’s most comfortable. Thanks for being all-in!

Homecoming Week Dress Code Guidelines - During Homecoming Week, we want our students to participate in each day’s theme and still follow our general philosophy related to modesty and items not allowed. As long as students are in theme, we would follow similar guidelines to Casual for a Cause. The following still apply:

  • Fingertip length for shorts, skirts, and anything covering leggings

  • Sweatpants are allowed if they are a match for the day’s theme

  • Midriffs should be covered

  • Shoulders need to be covered with a cap sleeve

  • Camo is not allowed

  • Out-of-code piercings are not allowed

  • Visible tattoos are not allowed

Homecoming Allowances and Details - A few more items that apply for Homecoming Week and not for Casual for a Cause:

  • Relaxed footwear is allowed if it’s a match for the day’s theme

  • Hats are allowed if they are a match for the day’s theme

  • On Thursday, only Colorado sports teams (including LuHi) are allowed

Thank You! - Thank you in advance for positively adding to the culture of Lutheran High School by being all-in! Weeks like this are a big deal and we want them to be amazing opportunities to have so much fun together as we celebrate “Home Sweet Homecoming”! God’s blessings on your upcoming week!

Serving Him,
David Ness
