How do students participate in dual enrollment?

In the first two weeks of the school year, teachers and coordinators introduce students to our dual enrollment options and guide them through the process in applicable classes.

Dual Credit Classes (on-campus):

  • These are high school classes taught by our teachers, with college credit awarded.
  • Students can earn both high school and college credits (fees from the college apply) and graduate with transcripts from both LuHi and the partner college.

Dual Credit Classes (online):

  • Students take online classes from a university, and LuHi grants high school credit for the college course.
  • Students earn both high school and college credits (fees from the college apply). They must request a college transcript to verify completion and grade, which is then added to their high school transcript.

Partnerships:

  • Dual Credit (on-campus) Courses: We partner with CCU for AP US History and Music Theory. We offer Spanish II-V, AP Literature and Language, Speech and Debate, and AP Calculus AB/BC through Concordia University Nebraska.
  • Dual Credit (online) Courses: We partner with GCU.
Please note: Students must have a 3.0 in order to be eligible to take the college class.
