If you dislike waiting in a pick up line, just pick up your student(s) at 3:20 p.m. - it's usually free and clear by then. Students are free to be on campus in the afternoon waiting until you want to pick them up.
Dear Lutheran High School Family -
Attached is a simple picture of our parking lot with parking areas identified for students and parents as it relates to drop off, pick up, and parking.
The content of this email can also be found here: https://www.lhsparker.org/knowledge-base/drop-off-pick-up
Students parking in the upper main lot west and down below by the field MUST enter campus from the east-bound lane off of Mainstreet before they get to Newlin Gulch Blvd. They should not enter off of Newlin Gulch as they will not be able to get through the drop off line to get to those lots due to the church entrance being closed.
Students parking in the upper east lot along Newlin Gulch MUST enter campus at the Newlin Gulch entrance and immediately enter the east lot on the left.
For parents and guardians dropping students off in the morning, please use the entrance on Newlin Gulch Blvd. Please stay to your right in the drive-through lane the entire time. We'll have staff to guide and help with this. Please avoid the temptation to enter the lot, drive around to the front, and drop your student off there. Parents should never use the Mainstreet entrance for drop off.
Please be fast with drop off! You may need to do hugs and such before you leave in the morning.
Parents, here is the basic rule of thumb: If you can keep driving forward without stopping, keep moving forward as far as you can get. If your vehicle comes to a complete stop, your student can quickly hop out the passenger side of the vehicle into the area marked by the orange pylons.
Afternoon:
Students who park in the main upper west lot or down below are strongly encouraged to exit the campus using the drive lane that exits to the north out to Mainstreet.
Parents or students arriving and needing to park on campus in the 2:30-3:20 p.m window MUST enter the campus using the entrance on Mainstreet. Parents should never use the Mainstreet entrance for pick up.
When entering the main entrance off of Newlin Gulch for pick up, please stay to the right the entire time.
Students can walk down the pylon line and enter cars at any point on the drive lane. Please encourage them to walk down the drive lane pylons and hop in! After that cars can slowly veer to the left and exit the campus.
If you get past the intersection where the traffic director is without your student and are parked at the curb, pull up just enough to the car in front of you to allow yourself to turn left and out of your spot when your student hops in. Put your turn signal on to let people know you are ready to leave the curb. Always check your mirror as cars will be leaving the campus on your left.
When picking up in the afternoon, if you arrive before 2:55 p.m., cars will line up along the right side of the drive. If the pick up line extends to the street, I would encourage taking a trip or two around the block until the line gets moving at 2:55 p.m. The Town of Parker frowns upon cars lining up along Newlin Gulch Blvd.
Please do not hang out and wait in the subdivision across the street (the head of the HOA knows where I live). Please do not pick up students in the subdivision across from school. Please do not pick up students at Parker Bible Church across the street.
Please do not expect to arrive in the 2:30-3:20 window and be immediately on campus to pick up your student.

No worries if this is slightly confusing - we’ll be there to help. The goal is always to be completely done with pick up in 25 minutes from the end of the school day. That’s much faster than most high schools!
God's Blessings on the start of your school year,
Dan Gehrke
