LuHi Report Card FAQ's | Email from May 26, 2026

Report Card FAQ’s: If you have a question regarding your report card please read everything below. Your question will most likely be answered here.

  • I didn't receive the Report Card: If you don't see the report card in your email by the end of the week please check your Spam folder, it may have ended up in there. If you do not receive a report card via email at all it means that it is being withheld for some reason, missing books or uniforms, performance attire, incomplete service hours or unpaid tuition or fees. You should have already been contacted by the teachers about these obligations if you have them. Seniors your transcripts will not be sent to colleges until all obligations are met. Please do not respond to this email instead please call the school office so we can direct you to the appropriate person to talk to. Thank you. (303-841-5551)
  • To View Report Cards: If you are having trouble viewing the Report Card link in the email you will receive it probably has something to do with your computer or firewall settings. Try cutting and pasting the link directly into the web browser. The report card link in the email will only be available for two weeks so you will want to print a copy of your report card for your records.
  • Understanding the Report Card: Column 1 + Column 2 = Column 3 There are 3 columns on the Report Card for each semester. The first column is the cumulative percentage your student received for the semester work (all homework, tests, quizzes, etc). The second column is the percentage received on the final exam. Some classes did not have a final exam (or it was pre-calculated with other grades in Canvas) and this space may be blank. The third column contains the combined letter grade for the semester work (column 1) plus the final exam (column 2). This letter grade is the final grade for the class and the grade that appears on the Transcript. So, to clarify, the column 1 percentage grade may not match the column 3 letter grade, since the final exam grade in column 2 (once combined with the column 1 grade) has the potential to raise or lower the overall final letter grade.
  • Why isn't there a grade in the Final Grade column?: This column is for schools who choose to combine the first and second semester grades into one final year grade. LuHi does not do this, that column should be empty. You may ignore this column.
  • Why doesn’t the Report Card grade match the Gradebook grade in Canvas or FACTS? Depending on how the teacher set up Canvas/FACTS, the Gradebook grade you see in FACTS MAY not factor in the final exam grade and, therefore, is not the final semester grade. The grade you see in the Gradebook may ONLY be the grade for the previous semester work (again, depending on how the teacher set it up). The grade on the Report Card is the correct final semester grade because it combines the semester work grade (from the Gradebook) with the final exam grade.
  • Non-LHS Classes: Since online/college classes are not classes here on the LuHi campus I have no way of entering these grades into the FACTS Grade Book which is where the Report Card pulls the grades from. Not to worry however, these grades WILL appear on the Transcript (you must provide LuHi with the official transcript from these schools so they can be entered onto your LuHi transcript. Driver's Ed does supply LuHi with the grades). You will need to ask the online school or college school for a report card of that class if you need a personal copy.
  • Duplicate Class: If you are seeing the same class listed twice, once with a 1st sem grade and once with a 2nd sem grade in different rows not to worry. This happens when a student switches a class from one period to a different period for scheduling purposes. It doesn’t affect the grade or transcript. The Lights Academy class may be listed twice within the same semester. This is for scheduling purposes only as this is an honors class that spans two class periods. You will only see one grade for the Lights Academy class.
  • What Does the “I” Grade Mean? If you are seeing an I or Inc in place of a final grade it means your student has unfinished work or an exam yet to complete. Once everything is complete and turned in the grade will be changed. For 2nd Sem. Report Card - If you are seeing an I or Inc in place of a final grade in Theology it is because your student has yet to complete their service hours. This will remain an incomplete until all service hours have been turned in.
  • Cumulative GPA's Report Cards now list your student's GPA. You will see three GPA row's on the Report Card: Term GPA (this includes weighting the honors classes) Term UGPA (this is the unweighted GPA and does not count honors classes as weighted) For these, look under the Grade column for the individual semester GPA's. The GPA you see under the '1' or '2' column in these first two categories only, is for semester homework only and does not factor in the final exam, so please look at the Grade column for the individual semester GPA. Cumulative GPA: this is the weighted GPA of the student's entire high school career up to this point (including any summer classes taken before freshman year) and what appears on the transcript. This is the GPA that many colleges/scholarships look for.
  • Questions About Grades? If you have questions regarding grades please email the teachers directly. Their email address can be found on the school website and in FACTS.
  • Transcripts - Seniors, your transcripts will be sent to your colleges in mid June provided you requested one to be sent in Naviance. The same obligation rules apply to transcripts, if you still owe books, tuition, service hours, uniforms, etc. your transcript will not be sent to your college until all obligations have been met. Underclassmen - if you need a transcript for good driver discount you, the student, must request the transcript in Naviance. All transcripts, official or unofficial, must be made through Naviance. Instructions on how to request transcripts are on the home page of your Naviance portal.
