Do you have a passion for ministry? Do you like performing? Creating skits? Script writing? Sharing God's word with the community? Then we have something for you! LuHi's CrossPlay!

CROSSPLAY - What is it?

CrossPlay is a ministry theatre troupe which performs Christ-centered skits, songs and videos for chapels at LuHi as well as at our Association grade schools. CrossPlay also performs for various church and community groups throughout the year and our annual Theatre Showcase. Depending on the year, other opportunities may also include: Improv nights, Shakespeare Fest, and theatrical competition.

CrossPlay's mission is to spread God’s Word and minister to the community through theatre and song. They are led by these verses: “Go into all the world and proclaim the Gospel to the whole creation” – Mark 16:15 and “Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” – 1 Corinthians 10:13

We are looking for new members!!!

If you love performing and spreading God's word, this is the group for you! Students who have experience in one, some or all of the following acting, singing, music, script writing, public speaking , etc. would be ideal but not required. Students who simply have a love for ministry but have little to no performance experience are also encouraged to audition. Expectations of those involved in CrossPlay are: to be leaders and self-motivators, skilled at improvisation, memorization, public speaking, performing and entertaining.

Please Note: It is not required for students auditioning for CrossPlay to have all the attributes listed above but should have a combination of at least a few. Special talents like singing, playing an instrument, juggling, videography, etc. are also welcome additions.

Rehearsals are on an as needed basis (usually 2-3 per performance). This means we will schedule rehearsals as we have performances. This is a very hands on, creative and fun group. Group members will collaborate to search for God centered skits or write/create their own to perform for our chapels. We will have a minimal amount of performance this year (around 4-5) as we are building this troupe up after being on hiatus for a year. More performances will be added next school year.

  • Please read the "READ ME FIRST" document in this drive. It will give you detailed instructions on how to submit your audition.
  • Only LuHi student email address can access this drive.
  • Yes, you must audition with one of the Audition Options provided in the drive.

You need to fill out this CrossPlay Application if you are interested in auditioning. You will submit your VIDEO AUDITION at the end of this application.

  • This form can only be accessed via a LuHi student email address. This is partly to help keep these forms secure, but, just as importantly, we want the students to answer the questions in their own words. Parents, thank you for not filling out this form for your students but rather helping to empower them to fill it out themselves.

Video Audition/Application needs to be submitted by Wednesday, Sept 16th, 2026 at midnight.

Advice for a successful audition: Be confident, energized, engaging and have fun. CrossPlay's job is to keep the attention of it's audiences (grade school to adult) so they hear and learn about the word of God. So be big, be bold, don't hold back. You are going to do great!
