Steps for Enrolling in Dual Credit:

For clarity in the process, below is an abbreviated list of steps based on whether you are new to Dual Credit through Concordia Nebraska or have taken a Dual Credit course previously.

Any NEW CU-DC student will need to:

  1. apply first (see website https://www.cune.edu/admissions/dual-credit/dual-credit-registration) ,

  2. receive their Student ID, then

  3. create their DualEnroll account(https://cune.dualenroll.com/login

 (see instruction sheet attached)

  1. Register for the correct class(es)

Any RETURNING CU-DC student will need to:

  1. find their Student ID (we emailed it the beginning of August to every returning student), then

  2. create their DualEnroll account (https://cune.dualenroll.com/login)

(see instruction sheet attached)

  1. register for the correct class(es)

Registration is NOT COMPLETE UNTIL A PARENT/GUARDIAN PAYS (separate email with link to pay sent as the final step of the student’s registration process).

Academic Requirements:

To establish student readiness, the following admissions requirements are in place:

Juniors & Seniors 2.5 GPA (3.0 recommended)

Sophomores 3.0 GPA

Freshmen (after discussing with parents) will self-certify a GPA of 3.0 when registering.

Tuition and Payment: Courses are offered at $90 per credit hour.  All Dual Credit courses offered through CUNE are 3 credit courses except for Calculus (Math 184) which is 4 credits.  A small transaction fee for paying with a credit card is also applied at check out if credit is selected.

Transferability:  Based on surveys from graduates of our program, these schools have accepted CUNE transfer credit. Concordia’s transfer rate is extremely high as a 4-year, private university offering general education courses — 98% of schools accepted CUNE credit from students who responded.  Transfer decisions are made independently at each institution, so please check with the Registrar’s office at the school(s) your student(s) may attend if you have any questions. (Sample of schools that have Accepted Concordia Nebraska Transfer Credit)

Preparation for First Time Dual Credit Students:  For students who have never taken a Dual Credit Course through Concordia University Nebraska prior to this year, you will have to apply first and be accepted in order to complete the next steps of registration and payment.  To streamline the process next week, I invite all students doing Dual Credit for the first time to:

  1. apply first (see website https://www.cune.edu/admissions/dual-credit/dual-credit-registration) ,

  2. receive their Student ID (emailed)

To establish student readiness, the following admissions requirements are in place:

Juniors & Seniors 2.5 GPA (3.0 recommended)

Sophomores 3.0 GPA

Freshmen (after discussing with parents) will self-certify a GPA of 3.0 when registering.

We look forward to assisting you in the application and registration process!
