New Student Orientation, Picture Times, Parent Alert Texts, Attendance Protocol/Procedures and more
Lutheran High School Family,
Reminder: New Student Orientation & Pizza Lunch - All new students (freshmen and students transferring to LuHi) are expected to be at our New Student Orientation on Wednesday, August 13, from 9:00 AM – Noon. In addition to welcoming students to school, we have a number of presenters sharing about academics, integrity, faith, extra-curriculars, dress code, punctuality, behavior expectations, Canvas, etc. Students will receive class schedules and get tours of the building from Student Council members to help become familiar with things at Lutheran. Students should be in dress code at New Student Orientation. We’ll end our time together with Little Caesar’s pizza. Students may be picked up at noon or just after.
New Student Orientation Drop-Off & Pick-Up - In addition to the drive-through lane, you may use our parking lots for drop-off and pick-up for New Student Orientation on Wednesday.
Student Schedules & Changes on Wednesday - Please see Mr. Thomack’s email, LHS - Student Schedules, Locker Assignments, and Schedule Changes Information, for more information about schedule changes.
Stop by the Guidance Center from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM (in-person at school).
Wednesday (August 13) Picture Times:
-
Make-Up Time for All Grades: 12:00-3:00 PM
Parent Alert Text Test - We have a great texting service through FACTS called Parent Alert (also for students) that we use for occasional announcements, weather delays, etc. In order to receive Parent Alert texts, accurate cell phone number information for parents and students needs to be listed in FACTS. If you don’t receive a text from school (about New Student Orientation) shortly after this email is sent, please check your family information in FACTS. To make changes, click on the Family Demographic Form (under Family). Set-up changes work best from a computer. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Jillian Lietzau at jillian.lietzau@lhsparker.org or at 303.841.5551. We do encourage students to have their cell phone numbers included to receive valuable information. Thank you!
Attendance Protocol/Procedures - Lutheran High School has a separate email account for attendance. All attendance issues should be reported by either emailing attendance@lhsparker.org or by calling the school office at 303.841.5551. A parent/guardian should email or call the school by 7:30 AM to report an absence or a student arriving late to school. If a student needs to leave campus early, please contact the school as soon as possible so the student can pick up a pass from the office well in advance of being let out of class at the designated time. Please visit our Student-Parent Handbook to view our full attendance policy. Thanks for partnering with us for accurate and timely attendance. It’s important!
Serving Him,
David Ness
