School Pictures, Supply List, Summer Reading Requirements | Summer Emails
Service Hours - The “Saved to Serve” program is our offering to our Lord in thanksgiving for His saving grace to us. We are blessed to be able to serve and ask that all students complete twenty (20) hours of service during each year of attendance at LHS. These hours will be overseen by the theology faculty and completed prior to the end of the school year (by May 1). Students are welcome to start or complete their hours this summer. For more information, please refer to the email sent June 25 by Mr. Fischer, Theology teacher and department chair.
Supply List - Please review our recommended supply list for the 2026-2027 school year (on our website under Current Family Information - please scroll down to Forms).
As you’ll read on the Supply List, “At the high school level, course-specific supplies do not have to be purchased before the start of the school year. You may wait to purchase items after receiving more detailed information from teachers the first week of school or until individual class schedules are finalized.”
College-Ready Reading - Each summer, LHS provides a required College-Ready Reading list to better prepare students for our English program as well as for ACT and SAT college entrance exams. Students in the English Honors program will additionally be preparing for Advanced Placement exams during the course of their time here. Please visit College-Ready Reading on our website under Current Family Information to find these lists (both Honors and Non-Honors).
As a first step, simply get a copy of the book at your local bookstore, online purchase, or maybe even from a bookshelf at home! Then when you’re ready to start reading, the book will be handy and you’ll be ready to go! There’s probably a correlation between reading joyfully and how soon you start. :) Starting closer to the school year might make reading feel more like a task. Even required reading can be enjoyable! Have fun!
Please reach out to Mr. Thomack, our Academic Dean, with any questions about College-Ready Reading at tim.thomack@lhsparker.org.
School Pictures - All students (new and returning) will have their pictures taken at grade-specific times on Monday, August 10; Tuesday, August 11; and Wednesday, August 12. We do this before school starts to eliminate missing valuable class time after the year begins. Please enter the front doors as the pictures will be taken on the upper level.
If at all possible, our preference is for students to have their pictures taken on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday is also an option for all grade levels if Monday and Tuesday are not feasible.
These pictures are used for our yearbook, our student ID cards, and in FACTS for student records. Seniors must also take this photo for ID cards, but will submit their professional senior photo for the yearbook at a later date. Students unable to be in attendance can have their school picture taken on September 15 (School Picture Retakes).
Lifetouch, the school photography company, will be taking our pictures. More information about ordering pictures will be sent later this summer.
All students should be in dress code for school pictures.

Performance Attire Fitting - Students who will be in an instrumental ensemble (Concert Band or Wind Ensemble) or a choral ensemble (Jubilate, Bella Voce, or Men's/Women's Choirs) will need to stop by the Performing Arts Room during picture days to be fitted for their concert attire. Please come during your assigned picture time. If there are any questions regarding this, please email Mrs. Ogé (jennifer.oge@lhsparker.org).
