Senior Blessings & Baccalaureate/Graduation Reminders and Details | Email from May 14, 2026

Baccalaureate/Graduation Rehearsal - Mandatory Baccalaureate/Graduation practice will be at Southeast Christian Church (9650 Jordan Road, Parker, CO 80134) on Tuesday, May 19. All students are required to be at practice beginning promptly at 11:00 AM (until noon). Regular attire is fine. Please be on time. Thank you!


Senior Blessings - Senior Blessings is at 6:00 PM this coming Tuesday at Lutheran High School. Caps and gowns will not be worn, but please follow the dress code I’ve included below (Gentlemen, please don’t forget your ties). Please make sure to leave enough time to arrive by 5:45 PM.


Seniors will be recognized by the faculty, awards will be given, and a video presentation will be shown.


Immediate family members are encouraged to attend. It’s okay if grandparents are present, too! This is meant to be more of a LuHi Family event leading up to graduation. Seniors will sit together in chairs on the gym floor.


We want our seniors in attendance! Although there are specific awards given, the evening is designed to honor the entire Class of 2026.


Refreshments will be served afterwards in the cafeteria.


Honor Cords - After Senior Blessings, all students will be receiving senior envelopes. Honor cords for Baccalaureate/Graduation earned by students will be located in their envelopes.


Seniors Arrival for Baccalaureate/Graduation – Seniors are asked to meet by 5:15 PM in dress code and caps and gowns. Arriving on time allows us to get seniors lined up and work through any details in advance of the ceremony. We will tell seniors the exact meeting location at rehearsal.


Baccalaureate/Graduation Seating - The doors will open at Southeast Christian Church at 5:00 PM for ticketed guests to begin arriving. Please plan to be seated by 5:45 PM.


Livestream for Senior Blessings and Baccalaureate/Graduation - We will be using our Lutheran High School YouTube channel for livestreaming Senior Blessings and Baccalaureate/Graduation. Please find the correct event (Senior Blessings or Graduation) after accessing the link.

Diploma Inserts - During the Baccalaureate/Graduation service, students receive diploma covers when they cross the stage. If everything is current and nothing is owed, diplomas are handed out immediately following the service at a table in the main lobby at Southeast Christian Church.


Length of Baccalaureate/Graduation Event - For families wanting to make meal reservations for after the event, I am able to share some general insights without an exact recommendation. We would expect the service, the cap toss, and the picking up of diplomas to take around two and a half hours, give or take a few minutes. Many will use this special time to stay and connect with family and friends, take pictures, and celebrate outside of the church.


Graduation Picture Information - We will have professional photographers for the Baccalaureate/Graduation service. They will take pictures of students receiving diplomas and candids from the service and the cap toss. More information will be shared in the days following the service.
