Senior November Tasks | Email from Nov 21, 2025
Hello Seniors!
It's almost Thanksgiving! I'm giving thanks for each of you! It has been a joy to work with each of you this school year! Thank you for helping me learn more about trade/tech schools, community colleges, and four year colleges (every year I learn about a new college from students).
There are a few Check List Items below that need your attention and should only take you about 5-15 minutes.
If you need help with anything, please let Mr. Tewes or me know asap.
Some of the below items you may not have to do.
1. Create your college Status Account/Portal
-Each college sent you an email after applying with information about how to create that account
-Emails include words like "Net ID" and a password (which you change when you create the account). Examples: RAMweb, GoBaylor, GoBears, etc
-This is where you Check Your Status (green check marks, red X's)
-Do they have all parts of your application? Or is something missing?
-Do they want a mid-year/ 7 semester transcript?
-If you have not heard back from a college yet, DO THIS!! You will find out what is going on!
-Maybe you have been admitted to the college?
2. Update Naviance
- I have submitted my application? (used Common App, or did not use CA?)
- Results? Accepted, Waitlisted, Deferred, Denied???
(open Naviance to "Colleges I'm Applying to" page, click on EDIT for the college and update the information)
-Delete any colleges from your "Colleges I'm Applying To" list (those you didn't apply to) (you may have to email that list to me as sometimes you can't delete them)
3. Transcripts?
-Need Mid-Year Transcripts? (request in Naviance - click on "Request Transcripts and select "midyear", then select the colleges to receive it)
-Your college may ask for that specifically. Or possibly your GPA has improved and you'd like them to know about that.
*Note: ONLY send if colleges ask for a Mid-Year/7 semester transcript OR your GPA has improved.
- If you haven't heard from a college yet, most likely you are missing something. Please check your "status portal" for that college to see what is needed/missing/needs updating
4. Did you take any online high school or online college classes?
-Online high school classes, no action necessary other than to check it is listed on your transcript
-Be sure to request a transcript for the college classes
-Those should be sent to Ms Lietzau, our Registrar, ( jillian.lietzau@lhsparker.org ) who will add them to your transcript
*Note: if you are taking a Dual Enrollment course with CCU or CUNE there is no need to request that transcript (AP Lit, Spanish, French, Music Theory, etc.)
5. Credits to graduate?
-Early January, you will receive your updated transcript which includes 1st sem of Sr year
-Please check that you have taken/will take Public Speaking or Speech & Debate
-Please check that you have taken/will take Govt or AP Govt
-We will review the credits the day you receive your transcript in Theology class (please do not email me to check your credits!!!)
6. Have you selected your college to attend? (possibly already paid your deposit to hold your place & select residence halls)
-You will need to update Naviance "set college attending"
-Login to your Naviance account, go to "Colleges I'm Applying To" page, scroll down under your list of colleges, then set college your will be attending
-Not needed until May 1...no hurry!
7. Not attending...Any colleges you know are off your list for attending?
-Please inform the college rep that you are no longer interested in their college
-Ask to be removed from email and text messages
-Politely say thank you for accepting me / for looking through my application
8. Email from colleges you are not interested in? Texts from colleges you are not interested in?
-"Unsubscribe" found either at the top or bottom of the college email
-Respond to the text with "Stop. No longer interested. Please remove me from your texting list"
*Note: Do NOT be rude about this as I have had colleges report such behaviors to me
9. Are you still applying to colleges?
-Please have them finished by December 10!!!! (no matter what the college says their deadline is!!)
-Remember that most scholarship money is gone by end of Feb/early March. (late applications will not earn much scholarship money, if any)
-Be sure you have requested Transcripts and then speak directly with Ms. Lietzau, the Registrar, to send your transcript
-We are no longer checking Naviance daily as we did 1st sem (Aug -Dec), so we will not see new requests or any added colleges
(*Note: Mr. Tewes & Ms. Noffze's focus shifts to all Juniors in 2nd semester)
Some of the above categories will apply to you and some may not apply to you. Thank you for completing the ones that do apply to you!!
Enjoy Thanksgiving Break next week!
Cheering you upward and onward!
Ms. Denise Noffze & Mr. Isaac Tewes
