Seniors College Timeline Info | Email from Sept 8, 2025

Information on Naviance, requesting transcripts and letters of recommendation, the common app and other related information.

Hello Seniors!

Are you ready for this year?   You will enjoy many fun activities just for seniors, but also you’ll experience many unexpected ups and downs along with emotions that may surprise you…Senior Sunrise, Homecoming, ”I get to do this!”   “This is the last time I’ll ever…” “I have to teach the underclassmen that” “I can’t believe how freshmen block the hallways!” Prom, Senior Sunset, Graduation, and more.

Just a heads up on the college application process: requesting transcripts, requesting Letters of Recommendation (LOR), submitting Common App forms by a teacher/counselor…EVERYTHING IS IN NAVIANCE!!

And it's a process...never done all at one time or in one day!

Naviance: Only students have an account; no password is needed – just use your LuHi email and Google Chrome

Single Sign on is the ONLY button used!

Naviance – “Colleges I’m Applying To” page…you must update the info in the “EDIT” option for each college

“Yes, I have submitted my application”…this box must be checked for Ms Lietzau or Ms Noffze or Mr. Tewes to send a transcript and other forms to the colleges

Requesting Transcripts: directions are on the HomePage of Naviance when you first login (also see details in Ms. Lietzau's email August 27)

Requesting LOR: go to the “Colleges I’m Applying To” page, go to the bottom of your college list to start the request process

MUST speak in personal with the recommender you are asking to write your letter!

Common App (CA): if your colleges use this, complete all the necessary parts and then submit the application on the Common App website

If a college is not listed in CA, their application will be on their college website.

Common App forms for teachers & counselor: those are completed in Naviance and the counselor will submit them AFTER you have submitted your application

If you’re deadline is sooner than Nov 1, you must email, leave a sticky note, or speak to the counselor directly

I will be visiting your Theology 4 class the week of September 4&5.  During those 35 minutes together, we will request transcripts for all your colleges, request LOR’s from LuHi teachers/staff, and you will receive a transcript copy for your personal use.

Plan to bring your own iPad or laptop to class that day!  It will make things run more smoothly!

Below is a general timeline of what will be happening this school year for college applications.

-If you are not applying to college, there are still a few items below that apply to you.

-Please read carefully and put these dates on your calendar.

Thank you in advance for a great start to Senior Year!

Cheering you onward and upward!
