Veterans Day Service (11.10.25) - On Monday, November 10, Lutheran High School would like to invite any veterans, active duty military personnel, their families, and any of our Lutheran High families to our Veterans Day Service at 9:00 AM in our gym.

Lutheran High School Family,

Reminder: Veterans Day Service (11.10.25) - On Monday, November 10, Lutheran High School would like to invite any veterans, active duty military personnel, their families, and any of our Lutheran High families to our Veterans Day Service at 9:00 AM in our gym. There will be a reception immediately following in the gym for veterans, active duty military personnel, and their families. We would love to see you there! Thank you!

Dress Code Request for Monday - I’d like to request that students consider dressing up on Monday (November 10) to help create a service of dignity and to honor our veterans. This isn’t a “have to,” it’s an invitation. Dressing up beyond our regular dress code is entirely optional, but I appreciate you considering honoring those who have served our country in this way.

Reminder: Thank You Cards for Veterans - We are asking students/parents with a veteran in their family to let us know about their service! Below is a link to a Google form to provide information about a family member (parent, sibling, grandparent, aunt/uncle) so we can send a card to them.

Veterans' Information

Reminder: Veterans' Wall of Honor - On Monday, November 10, we want to honor and recognize family members of the Lutheran High community with our Veterans' Wall of Honor. If you or a family member have served or are currently serving and would like, please send a photo to Mrs. Davis at brooke.davis@lhsparker.org or deliver a copy to her or the front office (by Wednesday, November 5, please). We would be grateful if you would include the name, military branch, relation to LuHi student(s), and the years of service for the individual.

If you submitted a photo previously, Mrs. Davis still has it and will post it! If you are providing a physical photo for the first time, thanks for a copy (no originals, please) that is not larger than 8x10. Thank you!

Veterans Day Service: Guest Speaker - We are grateful to have Specialist Michael Yaggi, United States Army, Retired, as our speaker. He is a Service-Disabled Veteran of the U.S. Army having served with the 3rd US Infantry, The Old Guard. In his time with the Old Guard, he served as Personal Escort to the President of the United States during the Clinton Administration.

Mr. Yaggi owns a commercial construction company that specializes in emergency response work for the Federal Government as well as aviation, recreational, K-12, collegiate level, civil, and energy sector facilities. He has his Associate's Degree in Architectural Engineering and an Executive Certificate in Leadership & Management from the University of Notre Dame. He also serves as a member of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), the Aurora Defense Council, and is actively involved in his church's youth program, LuHi Theatre assisting with set builds, and is a former member of the Southeast Christian School Board.

Michael and his wife, Katie, have two daughters. Their oldest is a junior at Lutheran High School and their youngest is in eighth grade and is homeschooled.

Serving Him,

David Ness
