Year-End Awards | Email from May 12, 2026
Awards Slides & Envelopes - We recognize student participation in organizations and other accomplishments at the end of the year with continuously running slides in the Flex Room and slides before chapel.
Envelopes have been prepared for every student with a message from LuHi and certificates earned. Envelopes for freshmen, sophomores, and juniors will be handed out on Wednesday or Thursday in their Theology classes.
Seniors will be given envelopes at Senior Blessings on Tuesday, May 19.
Academic Excellence Award Certificates (Academic Letters) - Students earning a 3.75 GPA for two consecutive semesters receive an Academic Excellence Award (also known as an Academic Letter). Since we will not have final GPAs calculated until after final grades are submitted, awards are based on the previous two semesters (Spring 2025 and Fall 2025).
With the need to have two consecutive semesters of a 3.75 or higher GPA to earn a letter, students are eligible to receive academic recognition three times while at Lutheran High School.
Students receiving an Academic Excellence Award certificate who have not already received a purple chenille “L” through another sport or activity will receive one in their award envelopes.
Strong Start Academic Award Certificates - Freshmen who have earned a GPA of 3.75 or higher will receive a Strong Start Academic Award certificate since the GPA calculation is only based on their Fall 2025 grades. This award signifies they are off to a great academic start and working toward an academic letter in the future.
Questions? - After you receive your envelope, please direct any questions about contents or certificates to individual advisors, office@lhsparker.org (for Academic Letters), or Mrs. Whittaker at becki.whittaker@lhsparker.org (for Athletic Awards). It’s important to us to get things right! Thank you!
