RSVP for 7th & 8th Grade Preview Day, Sept 21 2018

We are full!

Registration for the 2018 Preview Day is closed. Thanks for your interest - we have many other opportunities to get to know LuHi if you missed the registration cut off. Come to our Fall Open House, set up a tour or shadow day, or observe a teacher in class.

LuHi 2018 Preview Day

What: Student Council and NHS students team up with the Admissions Office to create a fun-filled snapshot of what it means to be a LuHi Lion. We start with lunch in the gym and Worship led by the Worship Team. Then, students move to various stations throughout the school including a preview of the Fall Play, a scavenger hunt with the Academic Departments, and a presentation led by the Athletic Department. Our hope is for middle school students to have a better understanding of our culture and an excitement to start high school.

Schedule

  • 11:30 – 12:10 Lunch, Gym
  • 12:10 – 12:25 Opening Praise, Gym
  • Parents break off for Q&A session, students break into groups for sessions
  • 12:30 – 12:50 Session 1
  • 12:53 – 1:13 Session 2

  • 1:40 – 2:00 Closing, Gym

Are you the parent of a middle school student? You are invited, too! After lunch, you will break off for a personal tour and special Q&A session with the Executive Director, Dan Gehrke.

All prospective 7th and 8th graders are welcome! If your middle school isn't coming as a group, we would still love to have you as part of this day. Please RSVP by September 14th by using the form above to save your spot!

Contact Hannah Buchholz with questions and any special dietary needs of your student.

“The tight-knit community at LuHi holds me to a much higher standard in terms of academics. It is impossible to hide in the back of the class and coast through the year - you are constantly held accountable. For me, it drives me to exceed both my own and others' expectations for me.” – Eric Winkler, Class of 2018
