The LuHi Athletics program supports the school's mission by committing to the Christian Character development of our student-athletes. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” – Colossians 3:23

Rachelle Robbins graduated from Concordia University Nebraska in 2002 with her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education. She has over 18 years of coaching experience in track, cross country, basketball, and tennis at schools in 4 different states. Her wide range of experience has taught her valuable lessons that shaped her into the leader she is. One of her goals for the LuHi Athletic Department is to continue to foster competitive excellence across each program as LuHi enters the 4A level. Jeff has been providing Sports Medicine Coverage for Lutheran since 2014. After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Athletic Training from San Diego State University, he went on to earn both his Masters's Degree in Physical Education from Azusa Pacific University and Doctorate in Physical Therapy From Azusa Pacific University. He says his favorite thing about working with the LuHi community is growing alongside the student-athletes in life and faith and being able to assist in their success.

Kelsey has been LuHi’s Athletic Trainer since December 2018. She graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver with her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. In 2020, she earned her Masters of Science in Human Performance and Sport with a concentration in Injury Prevention and Rehab Science. She is also a Performance Exercise and Corrective Exercise Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Her goal is to continue to elevate treatment standards and get LuHi’s athletes back to competition as safely and as quickly as possible. About Sports Medicine
Who We Are
We are a true sports medicine team made up of the top providers in the area. From the Athletic Trainer to the team Physical Therapist and the Team Physicians, we have the people in place to provide the best care for the student-athletes at Lutheran High School. Lutheran athletic trainers are nationally certified by the Board of Certification (BOC) as Athletic Trainers (ATC) and licensed in the State of Colorado. Our Physical therapists are licensed through the state of Colorado and have graduated from accredited universities by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and our Physicians are board certified. We pride ourselves on the fact that we have a “Team behind our Teams”.

Our affiliations consist of the members of our Sports Medicine Program and include; Synergy Sports and Rehab, Advanced Orthopedics, Health Images, Fluid Hydration, and Altitude Sports Nutrition.
What We Provide
The Sports Medicine Program provides everything from the basics of care and prevention of athletic injuries to the more advanced components needed to have a successful athletics program. Our understanding of the athlete as a whole is what makes our program one of the best. From concussion management to return-to-play tests, from nutrition and hydration to working hand in hand with the strength and conditioning team, we can keep athletes moving in the right direction.
Our team approach allows us to streamline care and provide the best solutions for trying situations. The relationships with various healthcare providers in the area enable us to have direct access to referrals to orthopedic surgeons, Imaging and Licensed Physical Therapists to get our athletes back on the field in the safest manner possible.
Where You Can Find Us
You can find the Lutheran High School Athletic Training Facility in Room 028 downstairs outside the west side entrance to the gym. In the training room, athletes can receive an evaluation of their current injury or condition and treatment for this condition. If an athlete needs more intensive care, they can be referred to either the team Physical Therapists at Synergy Sports and Rehab or directly to our Team Physician.
Getting Treatment
If an athlete or coach feels that an athlete needs to seek medical attention, they are encouraged to go directly to the Athletic Training Facility for care by a member of our team. There we will determine the best course of action to handle the injury. The Athletic Training Facility hours of operation are 2:30 pm -7:00 pm Monday thru Friday unless deemed unavailable due to contest coverage on campus or off, depending on the time of year.
